Paco Rabanne: l'enfant terrible

Paco Rabanne was revolutionary in the fashion of the '60s, replaced needle and thread using forceps and hooks; wool fabrics, cotton and silk with plastic, aluminum and Rhodoid, blending traditional techniques with industrial products.

Paco Rabanne fu rivoluzionario nel mondo della moda degli anni '60, sostituì  ago e filo con pinze e ganci;  tessuti di lana, cotone e seta, a plastica, alluminio e Rhodoid, fondendo tecniche artigianali con prodotti industriali.

Paco Rabanne was also one of the first designers to introduce music on his shows. In 1966 he presented his first collection in the salons of the Hotel George V in Paris, rattling plastic plates of her clothes to the tune of Pierre Boulez's Marteau sans Maître.

Paco Rabanne fu inoltre uno dei primi stilisti ad introdurre la musica nelle sue sfilate. Nel 1966 presentò la sua prima collezione nei saloni dell'Hotel George V a Parigi, facendo tintinnare le placche di plastica dei suoi abiti sulle note del Marteau sans Maître di Pierre Boulez.

The best of 60' icons dressed by Paco Rabanne: Audrey Hepburn, Jane Fonda,  Françoise Hardy,  Brigitte Bardot

The daring creations of Paco Rabanne detached themselves from the canons of haute couture instead approaching the principles of industrial design, emphasizinghis experience as creator of accessories (Givenchy, Dior and Balenciaga).

It was sold a set of elements (plates, rings and pliers) to composeyourself a Rabanne dress, a real DIY, which we now put to the test ... stay tuned!

Le audaci creazioni di Paco Rabanne si distaccavano dai canoni dell'haute couture avvicinandosi invece ai principi del design industriale, mettendo in evidenza la sua esperienza di creatore di accessori (Givenchy, Dior e Balenciaga). 

Uscì in commercio un set di elementi (placchette, anelli e pinze) per comporre da soli un vestito di Rabanne, un vero e proprio DIY ,che oggi ha messo anche noi alla prova...stay tuned!
